Nepal Entry Requirements for Indian Citizens

Entry by Air

Flying into Kathmandu or other Nepali airports

Important Notes

  • Indian citizens do NOT need a visa for Nepal — enjoy visa-free entry with valid ID

  • Indian currency notes of ₹500 and ₹2,000 are banned in Nepal — carry ₹100 notes or exchange to NPR

  • Aadhaar card is accepted as identity proof but passport is recommended for air travel

  • Trekking permits can be obtained in Kathmandu or Pokhara — we handle all paperwork

  • Travel insurance with high-altitude trekking cover strongly recommended above 4,000m
