Required Documents for Indian Nationals

Mandatory Documents

  • Valid Indian passport (minimum 3 months validity beyond return date, issued within last 10 years)
  • Two recent passport-size photographs (35mm x 45mm, white background, 80% face coverage)
  • Completed and signed Schengen visa application form
  • Travel insurance covering minimum EUR 30,000 for entire Schengen area
  • Cover letter explaining purpose of visit and detailed itinerary
  • Proof of accommodation (hotel bookings for entire stay)
  • Round-trip flight reservation (not required to purchase before approval)

Financial Documents

  • Bank statements for last 6 months (minimum EUR 50-60 per day recommended)
  • Income Tax Returns (ITR) for last 3 years with computation
  • Salary slips for last 6 months (if employed)
  • Fixed deposit statements, property documents, investment proofs
  • Credit card statements (if applicable)
  • Sponsorship letter and sponsor's financial documents (if applicable)

Employment Documents

  • Employment letter on company letterhead with designation, salary, and joining date
  • Leave approval letter from employer with return assurance
  • Business registration documents (if self-employed)
  • Company registration certificate and GST certificate
  • Professional qualification certificates

Travel Documents

  • Detailed day-by-day travel itinerary with cities and dates
  • Hotel bookings for entire stay (confirmed reservations)
  • Flight reservation showing entry and exit from Schengen area
  • Travel insurance certificate (EUR 30,000 minimum coverage)
  • Previous travel history (old passport copies with stamps)
  • Previous Schengen visas (if any)
