Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA)
Kenya replaced its Visa on Arrival with the Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) system in January 2024. Indian nationals apply online before travel. Kenya is East Africa's premier safari destination — home to the Great Migration, Masai Mara, Amboseli (with Kilimanjaro backdrop), and pristine Diani Beach.
Create account on the official Kenya ETA portal. Fill all personal details, upload passport scan and photo.
Upload passport bio page, photo, return ticket, and hotel confirmations. Ensure all documents are clear scans.
Pay the $30 ETA fee online using international debit/credit card. Receipt sent to email.
ETA usually approved within 72 hours. Print ETA or save on phone. Show at Nairobi or Mombasa airport immigration.
Kenya's ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) replaced VOA in January 2024. It must be applied online before departure. No more visa-on-arrival for any nationality.
It's required if you're coming from or transiting through yellow fever endemic countries (like Uganda, DRC, or parts of South America). Recommended for all travelers visiting game parks.
Masai Mara (Great Migration, Big Five), Amboseli (elephants + Kilimanjaro), Samburu (rare species), and Tsavo are the top options. Masai Mara is the most iconic for first-timers.
Yes! The Kenya-Tanzania circuit is very popular — Masai Mara + Serengeti + Ngorongoro Crater. You'll need separate Tanzania visas (easy online e-visa).
